Vintage clothing refers to garments that are between 20 and 100 years old and have a certain aesthetic or historical value.

At Laura Stappers Vintage shop, you mainly find clothing from the '80s and '90s. When we know the production year or decade, we mention it in the product information so you know as much as possible about your new vintage item!

Finding the right size in vintage clothing can sometimes be tricky, as sizes can vary greatly between different eras, brands, and countries of production. You can't always rely on the size on the label, as it often does not correspond to modern sizing.

At Laura Stappers Vintage, we mention both the size on the label and our recommended size. The recommended size is how the product is sold on our website, making it easier for you as a customer to filter. However, sizing remains subjective, so we recommend always checking the measurements we provide for each product.

Tip: Check how we measure our items (see image below) and use the same method to measure your own garments. This way, you can be sure that the item will fit well!

How to measure your own items:
1. Length: Measure from the shoulder seam to the bottom of your item.
2. Width: Measure from armpit to armpit on a flat-lying garment.
3. Sleeve length (if mentioned): Measure from the 'armpit' of the item to the wrist.

Important: Check if the dimensions match an item you already have and know fits well.

• If you want an item that fits true to size, you just need to order your normal size.
• If you want an item that is slightly oversized, then check out articles that are in your size and that are labeled as oversized.
• Do you want a normal oversized item? Then take 1 size larger than normal.
• Do you want a very oversized item? Then take 2/3 sizes larger!

All items in our collection are carefully selected and authentic. We do not sell fake products.

Sometimes we have newer items in the collection, less than 20 years old. We call this pre-loved or second-hand. Brand names, country of production, and years are mentioned if necessary or known.

Vintage clothing is often more delicate than modern garments. We advise always reading the care label and, in case of doubt, opting for hand washing with a mild detergent. Avoid dryers and preferably steam iron.

Satin jackets can usually be washed. Use a not too aggressive washing program and wash the jacket inside out. We always prefer steaming.

Wool, leather, vinyl, and PVC are not recommended for self-treatment; please go to a professional company for this.

Orders within the Netherlands over €100 are shipped for free! The shipping costs will be displayed during the checkout process.

Orders are processed within 1-2 business days. Shipping with PostNL usually takes 1-2 business days.

Yes, you can return an item within 14 days of receipt, provided it is in its original condition. After receiving the return, the purchase amount will be refunded. Please refer to our return policy for more information.

At Laura Stappers Vintage, we often have only one copy of each product because our items are unique and authentic vintage. This makes them extra special, but also quickly sold out!
